Rights of Way

The parish of Brampton has almost 30 public footpaths and 1 bridleway which are all well used. Maintenance duties are split between landowners or occupiers and the maintenance authority. The maintenance authority for the paths in our area is Carlisle City Council although Brampton Parish Council help by maintaining 11 of the footpaths through our Grounds Maintenance Contractor. We also support Carlisle City Council financially with maintenance on the remaining footpaths.

If you have noticed a damaged or missing fingerpost, broken gate or stile, overgrown areas or anything else of concern, please contact either the Clerk or:

Chris Graham
