Walkers are Welcome
Brampton has recently reached ‘Walkers Are Welcome’ status through the Travel Action Group of Sustainable Brampton, supported by Brampton Parish Council. The scheme was launched in 2007 in Hebden Bridge and at January 2012 has 70 Walkers Are Welcome towns and villages across Britain.

Brampton Walkers Are Welcome are now setting up a programme of weekend walks. Please visit www.sustainablebrampton.org/walkers for further information on this programme and details of other walking groups in the area.
Brampton Parish Council produced a commemorative footpaths map with the help of East Cumbria Countryside Project & Visual Imprint in 2004. The map is available free of charge from the office or the Tourist Information Centre which is situated in the Moot Hall.
